Two cross-country ski runs offer great off-piste winter sports bliss in the Damüls-Mellau-Faschina ski resort. Classic or skating style: cross-country skiing enthusiasts benefit from the sunny and snowy location of the Madlener Mountain Hotel in Damüls as well as from the daily prepared trails that can be conveniently reached by local bus.
The Damüls-Mellau winter holiday resort offers you 11 kilometres of wonderfully groomed high altitude cross-country ski runs, 5km of which for skating; choose between the “zur Alpe” trail in Unterdamüls and the “Stofel” run in Oberdamüls.

The cross-country ski trail runs from the Gasthof Glöckle in Damüls (1,500m). The run is 5km long, flat and for the classic cross-country skiing style and leads past the Alpe Unterdamüls and back to the Gasthof Glöckle, where you should not miss out on the delicacies or a nice hot drink. The trail is floodlit in the evening until 11pm and provides magical cross-country skiing moments under the moon.
Use the local bus for free; it will take you to the starting point of your cross-country skiing bliss at the Gasthof Glöckle in Damüls. If you arrive by car park it at the parking area in Kirchdorf or at the Oberdamüls chair lift station.

Höhenloipe Stofel trail
This panoramic and circular high alpine trail starts at the Gasthof Zimba and runs over 2.7km on the Stofel high plateau. Both classic cross-country skiers and skaters will feel at home here. Use the free local bus from the Hotel Madlener to get to the Gasthof Zumba, where you can taste the lovely local delicacies after your cross-country adventure.
