Seewaldsee bathing lake
Swimming at 1,200m
Summer holiday and afternoons at the bathing lake go together like alpine cheese and Vorarlberg. In the wonderful mountain region around Damüls you will find various swimming facilities in the unspoilt natural environment.
At the Seewaldsee bathing lake at 1,200 metres above sea level you will be able to enjoy the advantages of a mountain lake for free.
The wonderful natural bathing lake is located around 30 minutes by foot from Seewald, embedded in an alpine and idyllic mountain world. Lush meadows surround the small natural lake; at its deepest point it is 13m deep.
Because of the stony and pebbly ground the water you swim in is crystal clear. Use the huge lawn for sunbathing or visit one of the cafes for a snack or a refreshment on hot days. During the summer the water temperature is on average 24°C.
The changing cubicles provide great comfort as do the sunshades that are available for you.
Visit the small mountain lake by car and take the slightly alpine road from the Fontanella-Säge to Garlitt and Seewald. From there walk along the path for about 30 minutes until you reach the lake; or alternatively you can also take the Seewaldzügle, a charming little train that operates between July and August three times a day.
